DOE issued a draft Environmental Assessment for TerraPower Kemmerer Unit 1 Preconstruction Activities (DOE/EA-2264), which assesses the potential environmental impacts of Office of Clean Energy Demonstration's (OCED) proposal to authorize the expenditure of federal funding by TerraPower to conduct preconstruction activities for the Natrium Reactor Plant, Kemmerer Power Station Unit 1.
