Following his vast experience in defense and military organizations, Donny Watkins was looking for something new, challenging, and rewarding. He found all of this and more working at NNSA.

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory instructors were looking for some fresh ideas to make their Operational Technology Assurance course, sponsored by NNSA, more realistic for attendees.

NNSA has awarded two organizations 5-year grants totaling $2.17 million, to develop and strengthen apprenticeship training programs aligned with NNSA’s needs for traditional and emerging technician positions.

Kyle Martin, originally from South Korea, studied electrical engineering which led him to a path to join NNSA’s workforce in Defense Programs.

Samreen Singh, who supports NNSA’s production modernization activities. She was led to pursue a career in nuclear security after discovering the need for more individuals with a policy/social science background in Defense Programs.
