1) Develop energy efficiency and conservation strategy, 2) technical consultant services to administer the grant, which includes travel, materials, and equipment, and 3) upgrade lighting and install air conditioning systems at City Hall; conduct energy audits, upgrade lighting and air conditioning systems at the Municipal Clinical Facility and Angel “Lito” Pena Fine Arts Center.
1) Create a green revolving loan fund, 2) installation of a green roof covering on the Criallo Science and Technology Center, 3) retrofit building lighting system at the Municipal Government Building, 4) feasibility study for establishing a wind farm including installation of 2 meteorological towers to collect data, 5) installation of an approximate 5 kW solar photovoltaic system and LED lighting and solar-powered lighting in parking lot at the Mariolga Head Start Center, 6) installation of an approximate 5 kW solar photovoltaic system on the Santa Elvira Community Center, and 7) installation of solar hot water heaters and photovoltaic systems on approximately 45 residences and the Villa Turabo Community Center.
1) Develop energy efficiency and conservation strategy, 2) install energy efficient lighting, emergency generator, and air conditioning at new Vega Baja Library, 3) install light-emitting diode (LED) devices and equipment, compact fluorescent and regular fluorescent lighting in areas not covered by LED lighting, micro-movement sensors to turn on/off lighting circuits and air conditioning controls, and optimizing the use and controls of air conditioning systems on the Vega Baja Library.
