LanzaTech proposes to construct and operate a biofuel production facility in Soperton, GA. LanzaTech prepared an EA for U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBCS) and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) that describes the project, assesses the proposed project’s environmental impacts, and summarizes as applicable any mitigation measures used to minimize environmental effects. RBCS and DOE have reviewed and approved the EA for the proposed project. The availability of the EA for public review was announced via notice in the Dublin Courier Herald, February 9-11, 2021. A 14-day comment period was announced in the newspaper notice; no adverse comments were received.
