The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to issue a loan guarantee to Sunrise Wind LLC to finance construction and operation of the Sunrise Wind Project on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS), including onshore project components. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) issued a Final Environmental Impact Statement on December 11, 2023. Based on its independent evaluation, DOE has determined that the documentation satisfies DOE NEPA procedures and is adopting the 2023 BOEM Final EIS as a DOE Final EIS (DOE/EIS-0566).
