The Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO) supports a globally competitive U.S. manufacturing sector to accelerate adoption of innovative materials and manufacturing technologies for a strong and resilient energy sector. We do this through our work to drive innovation to transform materials and manufacturing for America's energy future. AMMTO provides analysis, planning, management, and direction necessary for a balanced program of research, development, demonstration, technical assistance, and workforce development to support domestic manufacturing that is critical to achieving a strong and resilient energy sector.
AMMTO is a suboffice within the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
