Glossary of Terms

Selected Projects: Projects selected by DOE to receive funding based on potential impact and alignment with DOE's goals. Selection for award negotiations is not a commitment by DOE to issue an award or provide funding. Before funding is issued, DOE and the applicants will undergo a negotiation process, and DOE may cancel negotiations and rescind the selection for any reason during that time.

Active Projects: Projects that have successfully undergone negotiations and have finalized funding agreements with DOE. These projects are currently ongoing and receiving predetermined financial support from DOE.

Completed Projects: Projects that have concluded their operational period with DOE.
