The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Cabot Corporation for the design, development, installation, and testing of a furnace and reactor bed used in the treatment of carbon black, which is made up of engineered carbon nanoparticles. Project activities would consist of research, development, laboratory operations, data collection and analysis, and installation and operation of machinery.
