Columbia River Basin Hatcheries; Multiple Locations

National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) prepared an EA, with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) as a cooperating agency. The NMFS proposed action is to authorize, under ESA Section 4(d), the continued operation and maintenance of six hatchery programs in the Columbia River Basin in Washington and Oregon. BPA’s proposed action is to provide funding for certain hatchery programs analyzed in the EA (adopted as DOE/EA-2132), specifically the Umatilla River Summer Steelhead, Hood River Spring Chinook Salmon, and Hood River Winter Steelhead programs.
