We are proposing to research and validate a next generation form of adaptive traffic control.  The advanced algorithm proposed by Traffic Worx LLC has the potential to significantly reduce transportation network energy consumption by deploying the latest control algorithms in conjunction with emerging technologies to address the key hurdles preventing widespread adoption of adaptive Intelligent Transportation System technology- efficacy and cost.
