Listing of Nonproliferation news and press releases
Two NNSA leaders visited the country of Georgia last month to discuss the agency’s bilateral partnerships, seek areas of mutual cooperation, and get a closer look at how nuclear security is implemented each day at active border crossings.
This month, leaders and team members from across the Nuclear Security Enterprise attended the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Science and Technology Conference and the International Atomic Energy Agency's Computer security conference in Vienna.
Andy Hallock, who serves as the Nuclear Security Attaché to the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna. Andy has supported nearly every nonproliferation program we have at NNSA, and he co-founded Austria’s first inclusive rugby team!
Meet Adam Stratz. He's kind of a big deal. Not only is he one of NNSA's experts in nuclear forensics who helps countries overseas thwart the smuggling of this material, but he also made an important discovery about butterflies.
Meet Kyle Pilutti, a self-described nuclear nerd. When she's not supporting #NNSA's #nonproliferation leaders, or serving as a point person on the office's issues in Asia, she can often be found at home building nuclear-themed crafts.
Meet Chris Dinh. By day, he keeps a watchful eye on how taxpayer money is spent on NNSA's efforts in Ukraine. By night, he plays trivia and builds character watching his favorite teams.
Meet Reema Verma. As a dancer, she moves gracefully to traditional music. As a Policy Advisor for the Office of Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence, she interacts gracefully with international organizations, civil society, and foreign partners.
Meet Amanda Pourciau. She's passionate about: * Nuclear security. * Asia. * Blue cheese. It's gross! Luckily the last one doesn't come up much as she localizes and updates nuclear security partner training around the world for #NNSA.
