A ribbon cutting ceremony was held March 12, 2024, to mark the completion of the 138kV Power Transmission System Replacement Project at the Nevada National Security Site.
The High Bay Laboratory project at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, California, is a new modern facility dedicated to supporting advanced testing, manufacturing, and system integration of weapon components for the NNSA mission.
"One of my favorite things about working at the NNSA is the sheer number of programs the NNSA operates in support of national security," says NGFP Fellow Kavough Jernigan.
"Working for NNSA has not only opened doors for myself, but for plenty of others that I have crossed paths within our HQ hallways. There is a lot of room for growth, both personally and professionally," says Adrian Anderson.
DOE/NNSA reached an important milestone on the Los Alamos Plutonium Pit Production Project (LAP4), approving Critical Decision-2/3 – Approve Performance Baseline/Approve Start of Construction – for the 30 Base Equipment Installation subproject.
