Summary
DOE/EIS-0323, issued by DOE’s Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) in 2003, analyzed the potential environmental impacts of alternatives to improve electric system reliability and provide voltage support for the Central Valley Project transmission system in the area of Sacramento, California. In 2006, WAPA announced that it would prepare a supplemental EIS, DOE/EIS-0323-S1, to consider additional alternatives.
