Summary
Department of Energy (DOE) has prepared this Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate the potential environmental consequences of either constructing a new facility or upgrading Building 870 to create a facility called the Clinical Alpha Radionuclide Producer (CARP), which would provide radiochemical processing infrastructure at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) for the processing of radioisotopes from irradiated targets.
