Surplus Plutonium Disposition Program
The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), a semi-autonomous agency within the United States (U.S.) Department of Energy (DOE), issued this notice of availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Surplus Plutonium Disposition Program (SPDP) which evaluated alternatives for the safe and timely disposition of plutonium surplus to the defense needs of the United States.

PLEASE NOTE: The venue for the Thursday, January 26th, public hearing in Los Alamos, New Mexico, has been changed since December’s announcements. The Los Alamos public hearing will now be at:
