Finding of No Significant Impact (DOE/EA-2165) for Final Rule, 10 CFR Part 433, “Energy Efficiency Standards for New Federal Commercial and Multi-Family High-Rise Residential Buildings Baseline Standards Update” (RIN 1904-AE44)

Based on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Final Rule (DOE/EA-2165), DOE has determined that revising the Federal building energy efficiency standards to meet ASHRAE 90.1-2019 would not be a major Federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment within the meaning of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Therefore, an environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required, and DOE is issuing this Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI).
