The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), a semi-autonomous agency within the Department of Energy (DOE), has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) to analyze the potential environmental impacts associated with constructing and operating a new High Explosive Synthesis, Formulation, and Production (HESFP) facility at the Pantex Plant near Amarillo, Texas.
