National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Office of Secure Transportation’s (OST) Transportation Safeguards Training Site at Fort Chaffee, Arkansas
NNSA’s OST prepared the Final EA (DOE/EA-2085) to assess the potential for impacts to the human and natural environment from construction and operation of the 2017 Facilities Master Plan Projects. The Proposed Action consists of 12 projects contained within the Facilities Master Plan.
The Final EA also contains a floodplain assessment (Appendix B) in accordance with 10 CFR Part 1022, Compliance with Floodplain and Wetland Environmental Review Requirements.
Based on the findings in the Final EA, NNSA prepared a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI)/Finding of No Practicable Alternative.
