Southwest Alaska Regional Geothermal Energy Project
DOE issued final DOE/EA-1759, which analyzed the potential environmental impacts of providing federal funding to the Naknek Electric Association to construct and operate geothermal production wells and a seismic monitoring network in Bristol Bay Borough, Alaska. The proposed Southwest Alaska Regional Geothermal Energy Project includes activities to improve local infrastructure to allow access to the local geothermal resources to be evaluated for commercial power production.
