The National Nuclear Security Administration issued final DOE/EA-1696 to analyze the potential environmental impacts of the proposed Pantex Renewable Energy Project, a wind turbine generator facility and associated electricity distribution infrastructure on Federal property at the Pantex Site near Amarillo, Texas. The proposal included construction of a new substation, a control building, and utility extensions to the existing Pantex Plant south substation.
