Proposed Sale of Radioactively Contaminated Nickel Ingots Located at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant; Paducah, Kentucky

DOE issued final DOE/EA-0994, which evaluated the potential environmental impacts of a proposal to sell 8,500 radioactively contaminated nickel ingots (9,350 short tons) held in open storage at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Paducah, Kentucky, to Scientific Ecology Group, Inc. (Oak Ridge, Tennessee), which would decontaminate the nickel ingots and resell them in the international market. On the basis of the final EA, DOE issued a finding of no significant impact.
