The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Patua Acquisition Company LLC to develop and demonstrate a reproducible methodology for well stimulation in Enhanced Geothermal Systems. The overall goal of the proposed project is to convert a previously drilled and permitted, idle well (16-29) at the currently operational Patua Geothermal Field (located in Hazen, NV) to an active producer and generate at least an additional 5 MWe at the Patua plant.
