The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to BrightSource Energy to develop a procedure to test concentrated solar power (CSP) receiver coatings which experience impacted performance over time. The test procedure will be validated through laboratory and field testing. The project would be completed over three Budget Periods (BPs) with a Go/No-Go Decision Point between each BP. This NEPA review is applicable to all three BPs.
