The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to The Pennsylvania State University (PSU) to develop novel fabrication methods for incorporating bio-composite materials in Bio-Photovoltaic (BPV) devices that can drive the performance to higher levels of efficiency. PSU would design and engineer a set of test devices based on computer modeling, and then fabricate and test the prototypes within laboratory facilities.
