The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to J. Craig Venter Institute (Venter) to develop and demonstrate algae strains which increase CO2 utilization. In addition, Venter would perform Technoeconomic Analysis (TEA)/Life-cycle Assessment (LCA) modeling regarding the developed algae strains.
