The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to identify which defects are imposing the greatest bottlenecks to improving the operational performance and stability of perovskite solar photovoltaic (PV), and to then develop physical models and methods that could be applied to mitigate defect formation.
