The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) to develop a cloud-based software platform that would provide local and regional stakeholders, including solar photovoltaic (PV) installers, building/code officials, and inspectors, with access to quality management (QM) processes. Alpha and beta versions of the software platform would be developed and tested. The project would be completed over two Budget Periods (BPs) with a Go/No-Go Decision Point in between each BP.
