The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Firestone Walker Brewing Co. (Firestone) to design and develop a concentrated solar thermal (CST) plant and thermal energy storage (TES) system for the heat process applications of their existing brewery in Paso Robles, CA. The project would consist of three Budget Periods (BPs) separated by Go/No-Go Decision Points.
