The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Silfab Solar to design, fabricate, and test solar photovoltaic (PV) spandrel prototypes, integrating silicon PV module fabrication into the opaque glass component of commercial building walls that exists between windows. The types of activities associated with the proposed project would consist of data analysis, computer modeling, preliminary engineering/design, and laboratory research.
