The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to RTI International (RTI) for design, development, fabrication, and testing of LED luminaries that could be retrofitted into existing high-use buildings. Award activities would occur over two budget periods (BP). BP1 would include identification of LED packages, investigation of fixture designs, and identification of sustainable materials for LED fixtures and LED drivers.
