In this final determination, the Department of Energy (DOE) has determined not to amend existing energy conservation standards for metal halide lamp fixtures (MHLFs). DOE is required to periodically determine whether more-stringent standards would be technologically feasible and economically justified, and would result in significant conservation of energy.
