The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Siemens Energy, Inc. (SEI) to design, develop, fabricate, and test a hermetically sealed compressor/motor for high-temperature industrial heat pumps. Award activities would include hermetic heat pump design, laboratory research and testing, analyses and modeling, and component fabrication.
