The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Innovation Institute (CESMII). The purpose of the CESMII is to strengthen U.S. clean energy manufacturing competitiveness and to increase U.S. manufacturing competitiveness across the board by boosting energy productivity and leveraging low-cost domestic energy resources as fuels and feedstocks.
