June 28, 2024The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Lehigh University (Lehigh) for the characterization, beneficiation and calcination of clays for use in cement and concrete. The project would purify and modify clay resources that are otherwise not targeted for kaolin extraction.
