The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Komatsu America Corp. (Komatsu) for the specification, procurement, and validation of a liquid hydrogen tank and balance of plant (BOP), as well as the integration design, development, and validation of a liquid hydrogen tank on an electric dump truck for use in a surface mining operation. Award activities would occur over three budget periods (BP).
