The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to RTX Corporation’s Technology Research Center (RTX) to design, fabricate, characterize and test durable ceramic matrix composite (CMC) interfaces with reduced manufacturing cost to enable solar heat exchanger, nuclear fuel cladding, and hydrogen turbine applications. This effort would occur at three locations throughout the United States.
