The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Launch Alaska to characterize the energy infrastructure of twelve underserved communities in Northwest and Southeast Alaska to identify potential future opportunities for development. The communities selected in Northwest Alaska are Ambler, Buckland, Deering, Kotzebue, Selawik, and Shungnak.
