The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Georgia Institute of Technology for the laboratory casting of alkaline exchange membranes (AEMs) and the assembly and testing of AEM water electrolyzers to produce hydrogen and oxygen gas. These activities would advance the commercial readiness of AEMs, catalysts and electrodes.
