Establish a field location and install a 10-year field experiment to simulate and study the movement of radionuclides through an artificial vadose zone. The general objectives of the study are to identify and quantify key long-term (10 year) radiological geochemical and transport, identify coupled (interacting) long-term processes and reduce uncertainty and improve technical justification for selection of geochemical conceptual models.
