The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to administer Congressionally Directed Spending to the City of Largo for the design and installation of a 150-kilowatt roof-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) system and associated components at the Largo Public Library. These activities would aim to reduce grid-purchased energy by at least 12 percent and would assist the City of Largo in meeting its “Ready for 100” commitment to power 50 percent of all municipal operations with zero-emission, renewable energy by 2030.
