The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the City of Milpitas, CA, for homeowner rebates for home electrification retrofits to increase energy efficiency and decrease carbon footprints. This funding would augment an existing financial incentives package currently offered by the local energy provider, Silicon Valley Clean Energy .
