The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to ExSorbtion Inc. to design, build and commission a brine feed skid-based fully integrated direct lithium extraction (DLE) unit. The DLE unit could be easily transported across multiple geothermal and oilfield sites and used to evaluate the unit economics of lithium production from those sites.
