The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to administer Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) to Montgomery County, Maryland for low- and moderate-income housing electrification, and indoor air quality improvements pilot project. This pilot project would include replacing fossil-fuel appliances and HVAC systems with more cost-effective, energy-efficient, and comfortable technologies that will upgrade existing equipment in affordable housing, reduce energy burden, and improve indoor air quality for low- to moderate-income tenants and building owners.
