The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to authorize the administration of a three-phase prize competition, known as the “Building Envelope Innovation Prize-Secondary Glazing Systems (SGS)”. The prize would provide financial assistance toward the development and production of solutions for upgrading inefficient windows in buildings to enable building decarbonization retrofits and optimize building envelopes for building electrification.
