The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the Fond du lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa (FDL) to demolish three existing structures, build two new structures and install a biomass heating system. The Brookston Biomass Heating Facility would be used to supply low-cost heat to the Brookston Community Center and 48 homes.
