The Mini-Arc-Melter (MAM-1) will process intermetallic materials (non-rad samples). Operational activities include melting and alloying of small quantity (up to approx. 20 g) of non-radioactive samples such as powder compacts, solid pieces or wires. The clean (non-radiological) hood in the C119/123 will be used for chemical handling.
