The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Sustainable Manufacturing Innovation Alliance to establish the Clean Energy Manufacturing Innovation Institute for Reducing EMbodied-energy And Decreasing Emissions (REMADE) in materials manufacturing. The REMADE Institute is a consortium established under a cooperative agreement with the DOE and with participation from numerous partners.
