The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the University of Maryland, College Park to develop a saturation high-temperature heat pump system to provide a heat sink temperature while improving efficiency by adopting a novel injection system and low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant as a working fluid.
