December 6, 2022This EEC will serve to cover use of portable Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines (RICE) powered equipment used to support Liquid Waste facilities (i.e., F and H- Area High Level Waste Tank Farms (FTF,HTF), 299-H, Effluent Treatment Project (ETP), Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF), Saltstone Facility (SS), and Salt Waste Processing Facility (SWPF) in stationary settings. Management, approval, and use of RICE equipment is in accordance with Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) Procedure S4 OPS.11, Management of Stationary Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) Bureau of Air Quality Title V Operating Permit TV-0080-0041, and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 40CFR Part 1039 Control of Emissions from New and In-Use Nonroad Compression-Ignition Engines.
