The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Alder Fuels, LLC (Alder) to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from biomass feedstock (i.e. miscanthus). The award would culminate with a test flight using blended jet fuel which would include SAF produced by award activities.
